Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was a Russian composer of the Romantic period. He was born in 1840 and he died in 1893. He was the first Russian composer whose music made a lasting impression internationally. He was honored in 1884 by Tsar Alexander III and awarded a lifetime pension. Baby Einstein started using his music in 2000. The first Baby Einstein video to feature his music was Baby Van Gogh.
