Pavlov is a red and tan/brown and tan domestic dog who is a major character in the series, the first of which being Neighborhood Animals, which he hosted. He later hosted Baby's Favorite Places and Animals Around Me, and was later made into a Kids II puppet.
Pavlov has gone through several design changes throughout the series. His 2001 original design depicted him with red long ears and paws and a blue collar, the puppet of this design also has a huge red tongue that is powerful for licking. The first redesign occurred in 2002 when he was redesigned by PlaySoup with a more refined body, brown ears, brown patches across his body (one of which over his right eye) and a green collar, the puppet of this design also has a smaller red tongue; all instances of brown on his body were changed back to red in 2006. In more recent videos Pavlov regained his original 2001 design, however it has been hinted at several times that the two different designs for the character are in fact two different dogs.

- He has gone through more design changes than any other character in the franchise.
- His brother, Dean, appears in Cal's Sound Yard, Patch's Number Forest & Manners Manor.
- He is named after the Russian physiologist, Ivan Petrovich Pavlov.
- Just like Jane, He is seen in the "Fun to Rhyme" Video on YouTube where he (along with Jane) is in the Kids 2 style seen with his tongue tied up in a knot
