- The animals that appear on the bottom panel of Baby da Vinci's machine after he uses it are the same types of animals that appear in the corresponding puppet shows.

- This is the first video to have Ed Kalnins. None of the songs are available on CDs.
- This is the first video to be more than 30 minutes long.
- This is the second video by Park Place Productions and the second to be filmed in California (while the Janicek/Marino videos are filmed in Colorado).
- The VHS ink label has no Baby Einstein logo on it.
- This is the only video to have classical music by Morley, Corelli, and Sanz.
- This is the only video to feature music by Antonio Vivaldi to not have any of the featured Vivaldi songs on the Baby Vivaldi CD, as the Vivaldi songs from Neighborhood Animals, Baby Newton, and Baby Monet all are on the Baby Vivaldi CD.
- This is the only video to have music from the Renaissance era, fitting the fact that Leonardo da Vinci lived during the Renaissance era.
- The Wind-Up Side Stepping Frog by Merry Thoughts is from Neighborhood Animals. The Mini Red Piano by Schylling is later seen on Baby's First Sounds, Baby Beethoven (2008), Baby Lullaby, and World of Rhythm.

- The CD Sampler enclosed on the VHS has the same music as the CD enclosed on the Baby Galileo and Numbers Nursery VHS tapes.
- Giovanni Antonio Cybei is not mentioned in the closing credits.
- There was going to be a 2009 re-release of this video based upon a now lost Puppet Show featuring Baby da Vinci holding a pie he made, and Noah trying to get it, that was uploaded onto the Baby Einstein website, along with two videos posted on Baby Einstein's old YouTube channel featuring narrations of Julie saying "Mouth" and "Feet", which are not in the original. However all of this was scrapped likely due to the FTC lawsuit of 2009 which ordered Baby Einstein to recall all of their videos and discontinue the brand.
